July 21, 2015 Board Meeting Agenda Item #33 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #16-0338 FOR BATTERIES Description Bids to provide 'Batteries' were received from six vendors on June 25, 2015.  The bids of Batteries by Fisher, Inc., Batteries Plus Bulbs, Gem Supply Company, Inc., and Glades Parts Company dba Original Equipment Company were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the transfer from capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department and the Network Services Department. Recommendation That the bids of Batteries by Fisher, Inc., Batteries Plus Bulbs, Gem Supply Company, Inc.,  and Glades Parts Company dba Original Equipment Company for 'Batteries' in an amount not to exceed $125,000.00, be approved as presented.
